Two More Winners Edge First Dude Toward $16 Million
Published: Friday, November 15, 2019

Two more winners have propelled First Dude into position to pass the $16 million mark in career progeny earnings in the next couple of days.

At Hawthorne, Ragatagtag took advantage of a short field to score a 10 1/2-length victory under Carlos Marquez Jr., getting six furlongs in 1:11.34. The 3-year-old filly paid $2.60 as a result of having finished second in her three previous races at Arlington Park. With Hawthorne's puny purse structure, Ragatagtag collected just $8,400 for the score, increasing her career total to $53,015 on a record of 2-3-2 in 11 starts.

Klingon Warrior is still going strong at the age of six, and became his sire's 67th winner of 2019 with a one-length victory under Edwin Gonzalez at Penn National. The gelding sat close to a sizzling pace - :21.92, :44.90 and :57.01 - before taking the lead with a wide move into the stretch and drawing away to his third victory, clocked in 1:10.05. He paid $2.80, earned $11,400 and boosted his lifetime bank account to $83,850. First Dude's career total soared to $15,955,330.
