At Age 6, Foxy Gator Still Going Strong
Published: Monday, December 2, 2019

As mentioned in the past, most of the time a horse winning a cheap claimer isn't worthy of more than a few words. Every once in awhile, however, a horse's career accomplishments make his or her latest score worthy of mention.

That's true in the case of Foxy Gator, a 6-year-old mare from First Dude's first crop who won cheaply at Mountaineer last night, adding to her impressive achievements built up over five years at the track.

First, she won the mile and 70-yard race by 8 1/2 lengths. Second, she's built an eye-opening record of 12-8-12 in 57 starts with earnings of $142,658, and the 12 victories are the most for any runner by First Dude. Third, she's 4-2-4 in 13 tries in 2019. Fourth, she's 4-2-3 in her last nine starts.

Foxy Gator, bred by Double Diamond Farm, is more than worth a little bit of ink.
