First Dude boosted his Florida-leading winners' margin to four over leading sire Khozan with the victory of Forestmusicalwest at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico on Monday.
The 4-year-old filly became winner No. 52 this year for her sire, while raising her record to 4-1-3 in 18 starts. With Edwin Castro aboard, Forestmusicalwest pressed the pace being set by favorite Cats Beauty, edged ahead of the 9/10 shot in the stretch, and drew off to score by 1 1/4 lengths in a good 1:18.69 for the 6 1/2 furlongs. The filly bred by Chester A. Bishop paid $4.20 as second choice.
