Double Diamond Farm's First Dude Has Two Fillies Nominated To The Historic Black-Eyed Susan (G2) At Pimlico

Baltimore, Maryland (May 12, 2016)--- Led by Kentucky Oaks (G1) runner-up Land Over Sea, Grade 2-winning stablemate of Kentucky Derby (G1) champion Nyquist, 43 sophomore fillies nominated to the 92nd running of the $250,000 Black-Eyed Susan (G2) to be run the day before the Preakness (G1), May 20, at Pimlico Race Course. Black-Eyed Susan Day features the “Ultimate Girls Day Out”, an entire afternoon dedicated to the spirit and strength of women.

Among the nominations are two fillies sired by Double Diamond Farm’s First Dude, the 2015 leading freshman sire in Florida. Coffeepot Stables’ multiple stakes winner and earner of $430,582, Flora Dora, and XYZ Stable & 3C Stable’s recent Oaklawn Park maiden winner, Mom’s On Strike, are both under strong consideration for the historic race.

Also nominated are Grade 1 winners Rachel’s Valentina and Weep No More, sixth and seventh, respectively, in the Kentucky Oaks; Grade 2 winners Dothraki Queen and Go Maggie Go; Grade 3 winners Jet Black Magic and Lightstream; multiple graded stakes-placed Dream Dance, She’s a Warrior and Thrilled and “Win and You’re In” Weber City Miss Stakes winner A P Majestic.
