First Dude Could Hit $1 Million in Progeny Earnings This Weekend
Published: Friday, December 11, 2015

Ocala, Florida (December 11, 2015)--- With three juveniles entered this weekend, Double Diamond Farm’s sensational freshman sire First Dude could hit the million dollar milestone in progeny earnings by Saturday evening.

Expect Greatness runs Friday night at Remington Park and is installed at 4-1 on the morning line. Out of a More Than Ready mare, the Allen Milligan trainee has finished second in his last two trips to the post, while improving his Brisnet speed figures in each of his last three races.

On Saturday, Behzad’s Pride, out of a Broad Brush mare, is entered at Gulfstream Park. Already a winner of two races, the Jessica Campbell-trained gelding will be wearing blinkers for the first time and have Hall of Fame jockey Edgar Prado in the saddle.

From the barn of trainer John Brocklebank, Pico Chick is entered at Los Alamitos. Out of a Pico Central (Brz) mare, she broke her maiden by nine lengths in her last start. She is another whose speed figures are on the rise and a sharp work on December 5 at Santa Anita signifies she is holding her good form.

With $979,597 in progeny earnings so far this year, First Dude ranks third among all freshmen sires in the Northern Hemisphere. By Stephen Got Even, from the Smart Strike mare Run Sarah Run, he stands for $7,500 at Donald R. Dizney’s Double Diamond Farm in Ocala, Florida.
