First Dude moved back to the top of the Florida general sire list when Dude's Secret came from behind to win at a mile and one-sixteenth at Tampa Bay Downs yesterday.
The 5-year-old mare sat in a stalking position down the backstretch, moved three wide for the drive and pulled away down the lane for a two-length victory. After coming off a second in her previous start, Dude's Secret paid $6.40 and earned a check for $6,000, lifting her sire's progeny earnings for the year to $634,413. She also earned a breeder's award for SFC Inc.
