First Dude On Another Roll - 5 Winners in 4 Days; $1 Million Is Near
Published: Wednesday, May 15, 2019

On a day when there were less than 10 tracks in operation around the U. S., First Dude was able to generate three winners and a second, and wound up the day just $6,053 away from reaching $1 million in progeny earnings for the year. Red-hot First Dude now has had five runners reach the winners' circle in the last four days.

Petulant Delight scored first at Parx Racing to become the stallion's 32nd winner this year. He was followed by Dressed In Heels romping at Thistledown to become No. 33, with Foxy Gator - No. 34 - capping it off with an easy score at Mountaineer Resort and Casino last night.

Petulant Delight sat off the shoulder of 6/5 Hail to the King early in a one-mile race over a sloppy track at Parx. The 4-year-old gelding bred by Ocala Stud Farm went up to challenge the favorite on the backstretch and edged away on the turn, finally winning by two lengths under Roberto Rosado. The $37,000 OBS April 2-year-old added $16,200 to his bank account.

With Luis Quinones aboard, Dressed In Heels went wire-to-wire at a mile and 70 yards at Thistledown for her sixth career victory, drawing off by nearly seven lengths at the wire. The 5-year-old mare bred by David and Teresa Palmer has earned $74,229.

Foxy Gator boosted her earnings to $120,018 with a 4 1/2-length victory at Mountaineer, shortly after Buddy's Babe finished a strong second in the evening's first race. Bred by Double Diamond Farm, Foxy Gator has won nine races, and been in the top three 25 times.

First Dude's earnings for 2019 have reached $993,947.
