First Dude Progeny Exceed $1 Million Earnings Mark
Published: Monday, January 4, 2016

Ocala, Florida (January 4, 2016) --- Double Diamond Farm's sensational freshman sire First Dude went over the $1 million mark in progeny earnings over New Year's weekend, when Aggressive Driver finished fourth in the $100,000 Much Macho Man Stakes at Gulfstream Park. Only three other freshman sires have reached that milestone in North America.

The $1,002,456 First Dude's progeny have earned represent only half a year's work, as his first winner came on June 20. The leading freshman sire in Florida, he has sired 16 separate winners of 17 races, including stakes winner Flora Dora and stakes-placed Enterprising Lady. First Dude ranks fourth in North America among all first-crop sires.

Winner of $1,442,140 on the racetrack, First Dude has now transferred that Grade 1 success to the breeding shed. His stud fee for 2016 will remain at the same $7,500 price it was in 2015.
