Ocala, Florida (July 5, 2016)--- After a successful Fourth of July weekend, Double Diamond Farm’s sensational stallion First Dude now has progeny earnings of $1,121,152 for 2016. Florida’s leading freshman sire in 2015, First Dude is currently the state’s leading second-crop sire and ranks seventh in all of North America. Since his first runner in June of last year, he has amassed $2,118,300 in total progeny earnings.

A grand-looking son of Stephen Got Even, from the Smart Strike mare Run Sarah Run, First Dude made over $1.4 million on the racetrack, while winning the Hollywood Gold Cup (G1) and Alysheba (G3) at four and placing in nearly every important American three-year-old race, including the Preakness (G1), Belmont (G1), Travers (G1), Haskell (G1), Toyota Blue Grass (G1) and the Pennsylvania Derby (G2).

First Dude has passed his class and gameness on to his foals, who have won 55 races in the last two seasons, with many more victories on the horizon. His leading runner is multiple stakes winner Flora Dora, who emerged with a victory in the Busanda Stakes at Aqueduct this year, after a stakes-winning juvenile campaign. She has banked $446,582 in her nine-race career.
