On a Tranquil Tuesday, First Dude Hits For Two More Winners
Published: Wednesday, October 16, 2019

On another off-day for most of the country's race tracks, First Dude added winners at Parx Racing and Thistledown, the score at Parx giving him three at the track in the past two days.

At Parx, Do With Pride continued his 2019 surge by getting his second victory in a row, third in his last four starts, and fifth out of eight. In his first 13 career starts, the 4-year-old gelding went 1-0-2; in his last 10, he's 5-3-1 and his earnings have soared to $127,170, with $113,790 of it coming this year.

Racing 1 1/16 miles on the grass with Frankie Pennington, Do With Pride sat a comfortable second in the early stages, moved on the turn, and was going away at the finish, winning by 1 1/4 lengths. He paid $18.60 and earned a check for $22,800.

Bella Dudette, bred in Kentucky by Rodrigo Cunha, was 3/5 with Gerardo Corrales racing a flat mile on the main track. Her three-wide move on the final turn propelled her to a 5 1/2-length victory and raised her lifetime record to 5-2-3 in 26 starts. The check for $16,200 increased her earnings to $111,111.

First Dude's progeny earnings for the year jumped to $2,846,742.
