Acadia Breeze hadn’t won since taking an optional claimer at this course way

back in April of 2007. She was on the board just once in seven subsequent starts,

and that came in her most recent, when she completed the trifecta in a seven-furlong

allowance at Arlington Park Aug. 29. The 11-1 outsider took advantage of a

brisk early pace and rallied from a mid-pack perch to prevail going away.

ACADIA BREEZE within striking distance off the inside, responded willingly in

the stretch and drew clear late.
