If ever a runner could be classified as having ‘too much fun,’ the daughter of First Dude by the same name would be a prime candidate. Too Much Fun, the 4-year-old-filly making her 12th career start, broke her maiden at Presque Isle Downs by 8 1/4 widening lengths under veteran Mike Allen.

After leaving Gulfstream Park, in her initial try in Pennsylvania, Too Much Fun was the recipient of an owners’ dream, two scratches out of a one-mile race, leaving a field of four. Under 125 pounds, she took the lead at the three-quarters, opened up 3 1/2 lengths in the stretch, then coasted away to win easily, clocked in 1:39.30. She paid $4.80 and earned her first win check – $9,000 – for her owners and breeders, Kim and William Deaton.
