First Dude Gelding Racks Up Victory No. 12

Fivefive Six Champ is the latest runner to take a big hike up First Dude’s $200,000 list, jumping from number 31 to number 27 after a sharp wire-to-wire performance at Charles Town.

Carlos Lopez was aboard the 6-year-old gelding, who was a $165,000 OBS March 2-year-old bred by Tom McCrocklin. Fivefive Six Champ was clocked in 1:26.95 for the seven furlongs, paid $6.60, and earned a check for $16,620. He now sports a record of 12-3-4 in 38 starts and his bank account increased to $228,779.

He was claimed out of the race for $15,000.
