Neigh Dude Takes the ‘Over’ at Parx Racing

Neigh Dude was razor sharp in the third race at Parx yesterday, and his second victory of this year provided two new ‘overs’ for First Dude.

First, Neigh Dude earned a check for $10,800, and it sent him over the $100,000 mark for 2023 at $105,672. Second, First Dude went over $2.6 million at $2,609,969.

Dexter Haddock was aboard the 4-year-old bred by Porter Racing Stable, and the gelding was off quickly in the race at six furlongs, then eased back to seventh down the backstretch. Haddock didn’t wait long to send him up three wide coming to the turn and Neigh Dude ran down the leaders, came five wide into the stretch, and cruised to the wire 5 1/4 lengths in front. He was clocked in 1:13.48 and raised his record to 5-4-4 in 25 starts. After posting two straight seconds, he paid just $4.20, and was claimed out of the race.
