Neigh Dude wins Parx battle of the Dudes

It was a battle of the Dudes at Parx Racing on Tuesday, and 2-1 second choice Neigh Dude, who is by First Dude, outgamed 9/5 favorite Lucky Dude, who is by Lookin at Lucky, by a neck after a long stretch duel although the official chart mistakenly has it listed as half a length.

Neigh Dude, a 6-year-old gelding bred by Porter Racing Stable, had Abner Adorno in the saddle for the six-furlong trip and was coming off a victory in his previous start. He was part of a 4-horse pack that pushed Lucky Dude down the backstretch, but only Neigh Dude took up the chase on the turn for home. Neigh Dude proved best at the wire, clocked in 1:11.55.

The $2,000 Timonium October yearling paid $6.60 and earned a check for $16,800, increasing his career bank account to $274,592 on a record of 13-10-6 in 49 starts. He’s won 5 of 8 in 2025 with earnings of $85,000, and moved up three spots on First Dude’s $200,000 list, into 23rd place.
