Orange Theory 3rd at 29-1 in $50,000 Stake in Canada

Orange Theory, at odds of 29-1, finished third in the $50,000, black-type Lynn Chouinard Founders Distaff Stakes at Century Downs in Canada, a race she had won last year before it received the black-type designation.

The 5-year-old daughter of First Dude sat close to the pace early with Renaldo Cumberbatch, but could not advance in the run down the lane, and wound up three lengths behind at the finish of the race at 1 1/8 miles. She earned a check for $5,000 (Canadian), $3,646 (U.S.) and increased her total to $107,869. She has produced a record of 6-4-8 in 37 starts.

Owned and trained by Shelley Brown, Orange Theory was a $3,000 OBS October yearling, bred by William Sorren.
