Taino House is another in the long line of runners bred at Double Diamond Farm who have stood the test of time, and whose number of victories have reached double digits. The 8-year-old gelding bred by Donald Dizney went wire-to-wire at Emerald Downs, winning for the 10th time in his 45-race career, while paying the bizarre price of $17.62 to win.
Kevin Krigger was in the irons for the six-furlong test, and Taino House loped along on the lead while putting up fractions of :22.31, :45.27 and :57.46. He coasted to the finish line nearly two lengths in front, clocked in an impressive 1:10.41. The check for $5,130 raised the gelding’s lifetime total to $89,300.
