First Dude’s Winners Come Across U. S; No. 30 Is at Arapahoe

Through this past Saturday, First Dude’s runners had won four races since July 1 – at Gulfstream Park, Presque Isle, Los Alamitos and Delaware Park, adding a stakes-placed finish at Parx Racing. Yesterday, Arapahoe Park was added to the list.

Gran Edition, a 6-year-old gelding bred by Ponder Hill, exploded for a 10 1/2-length victory with Jose Torres in a race at a flat mile. It’s his first victory this year in two starts, and the sixth of his career. Coming off a third-place finish in his 2023 debut, the $7,000 OBS October yearling paid $4.60, earned a check for $4,080 for owner/trainer Juan Chavez, and became winner No. 30 for First Dude this year.
