Neigh Dude Looks Good to the Claiming Genre

Add Neigh Dude to the long list of runners who has made the sharp-eyed sales buyers look bad, and the claiming trainers look good.

At the October Timonium sale three years ago, the 4-year-old by First Dude was RNA’ed for a paltry $2,000. After his second victory in a row at Parx on Monday, the gelding bred by Porter Racing Stable has career earnings of $117,672, and he seems to just be reaching his peak. In his last six races, Neigh Dude has compiled a record of 2-3-0.

Mychel Sanchez was aboard Neigh Dude in his latest, and he guided the gelding from eighth place down the backstretch to a half-length score, clocked in 1:19.44 for the 6 1/2 furlongs. He boosted his record to 6-4-4 in 26 starts and was claimed for the second straight race.
