Petulant Delight Wins at Parx for 12th Lifetime Victory

Petulant Delight moved up three spots on First Dude’s $200,000 list after a one-length victory at Parx Racing in his 49th career start. The 8-year-old gelding bred by Ocala Stud, a $37,000 OBS April 2-year-old, added $10,800 to his bank account, which now stands at $231,499, and slipped into 18th place on his sire’s elite list. He now sports a record of 12-8-4 and is one of eight First Dude runners with 10 or more victories.

Dexter Haddock sent Petulant Delight away quickly in the race at 6 1/2 furlongs, and the gelding was locked in a four-way battle for the lead at the first quarter. He began to leave the others behind on the turn and held his foes safe down the lane, paying $5.80 for his second victory of 2023, clocked in 1:20.14.
